Sunlight dappling through towering sal trees and grasslands filled with limpid pools, Kanha brings to mind the raw wilderness of the African veldt. India’s most famous and handsome jungle can be found deep inside Madhya Pradesh, in the heart of tiger territory.
Jabalpur Airport, also known as Dumna Airport, has flights to Mumbai and New Delhi, and is three hours away from Kanha National Park. With greater connectivity to Indian cities, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur is approximately five hours from Kanha by road.
Jabalpur Junction railway station is closest to Kanha and offers connections to the metros. Nagpur Railway Station has more frequent services that link to a wider range of cities.
There are both private services and Maharashtra State Road Corporation (MSRTC) buses that have daily services to Kisli and Mukki, the two entry points for Kanha National Park, from Jabalpur.
Kisli and Mukki, the main entry points to Kanha, are easily accessed by road from Jabalpur, Mandla and Khajuraho, Nagpur and Raipur.
