While Chitwan is most famous for its National Park, the nearby city of Kathmandu has a host of cultural attractions to offer such as the famous Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO world heritage site; Pashupatinath Temple; Swayambhunath Stupa; Darbar Square; Narayanhiti Palace Museum; and Kopan Monastery. You can even take day trips to the ancient historical cities of Bhaktapur and Patan. For the more adventurous, the nearby hill station of Pokhara offers one of the best paragliding venues, is surrounded by white-water rivers and offers some of the best mountain biking and trekking routes to and around the Annapurna mountain range. There is also a Zip Flyer that starts at Sarangkot and drops 600m over 1.8km achieving a speed of 120km/h.
