BEATING DAY ZERO ONE DAY AT A TIME

Cape Town implemented water restriction LEVEL 6B on 1 February 2018. Fast forward 5 months, and thanks to the much hoped for winter rainfall, dam levels are now at the same level as in 2016.  With additional winter rains still to come, we expect to reach the safe zone of 31% shortly, which could also result in the dropping of water restriction levels as early as mid-July 2018. With continued efforts we should reach an estimated dam level of around 80% by the end of the winter season in August.

We must remember that saving water is a Global issue. Taj Cape Town is fully committed to doing what it can to save limited resources so we are still urging  Capetonians and visitors to our beautiful city to be mindful and to implement water-saving measures where possible.
