The Pierre New York

Since 2013, The Pierre has been recognized with the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating, which has been the gold standard in hospitality for nearly 60 years. The distinction is awarded annually to fewer than 60 properties throughout the United States. A team of expert inspectors anonymously evaluate properties against up to 800 rigorous and objective standards. These standards are the most stringent in the industry — Forbes inspectors travel incognito, staying two nights and three days to gather every detail of the visit. The Pierre is the only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond property on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

AAA Five Diamond award

The Pierre, A Taj Hotel has received the sought after AAA Five Diamond Award every year since 2009. Candidates for the rating undergo multiple anonymous, in-person property evaluations and a final decision by a panel of experts. Requirements include providing meticulous personalized service, extensive amenities and impeccable standards of excellence. Five Diamond hotels represent just 0.3 percent of the nearly 59,000 AAA Approved establishments.

The Pierre is rated 14 on TripAdvisor out of 466 New York City hotels. In addition, we have received the 2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, which recognizes establishments that consistently earn great TripAdvisor reviews from travelers. It accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers over a 12-month period.
